Tecktonik dance AI examples from TikTok

The black suit
What is the Tecktonik dance AI trend?
The Tecktonik dance AI trend turns one photo into a vertical clip of you on a courtyard planter doing the Tecktonik, the jerky electro arm dance from the mid-2000s Paris clubs, while the crowd below films. Dozens of TikTok creators are posting theirs this week, almost all through one CapCut template. One photo makes yours here.
Upload one photo and keep the courtyard, or tap a look from the examples: the black suit, the sunglasses duo, the purple tracksuit, or a two-panel version where you appear twice or next to a friend. The TikTok posts send you to a template inside another app; here the dance, the crowd and the lights are already written next to the upload.
Want a different dance instead? The AI dance video generator takes any style, and the Toc Toc AI dance gets a whole group photo shuffling.

What the generator is doing
Your photo goes into Seedance 2.0 Mini as the reference for the dancer, and the prompt writes the courtyard, the crowd and the Tecktonik moves around you. A 12-second Tecktonik clip is paid in credits, and the button shows the exact count before you press it.
The hands-to-the-head move
Both palms slap to the sides of the head, then the arms flick up and out. A front-facing photo keeps your face sharp through the fastest part.
Cool, never smiling
The joke is the deadpan face over the wild arms. Sunglasses help; the sunglasses look puts them on for you.
How to make a Tecktonik dance AI video
Upload a photo and your Tecktonik dance AI clip is ready in a few minutes.
Upload one clear photo
Face to the camera, good light, ideally from the waist up or full body so the arms have somewhere to go. Add a second photo only for the two-panel looks.
Keep the courtyard, or tap a look
The default puts you on the planter in your own clothes. Tap the black suit, the sunglasses or the tracksuit to change the outfit, or Random for a wedding, an office party or an underground club.
Make it and add the sound
Twelve seconds fits the full routine. It comes back with a retro electro beat you can post as is, or swap in the trending sound in TikTok or Reels.
Who to make a Tecktonik dance AI clip of
It works best on the people nobody expects to see up there.
The friend who never dances
The one who stands by the wall at every party. One photo and they are the main act above the crowd.
Your boss, in the black suit
With their blessing, tap Random until the office party comes up: the most serious person you know, on a desk under a disco ball.
You and your best friend
Pick a two-panel look, add one photo each, and you dance the same move side by side.
Anyone who was there in 2008
Send it to the friend who actually did the Tecktonik in skinny jeans and a neon wristband. The underground club prompt is for them.
Tecktonik dance AI FAQ
What the dance is, where the song comes from, how to make your own and what it costs.
Tecktonik is the name the mid-2000s Paris club scene gave to Electro dance: fast, sharp arm moves across the face and over the head, with light footwork, danced to electro house. Tecktonik was the brand that pushed it; the dance itself carried on as Electro and is having a revival on TikTok and Instagram now.
Dancers call the arm style Electro, and Tecktonik is the older name most people know it by; shuffling is the footwork side. The AI clips here focus on the arms, which is what the trend is about.
Posts use whatever electro sound is trending that week, not one fixed song. The clip you make here comes with its own retro electro beat, so add the sound you want inside TikTok or Reels when you post.
Upload one photo, keep the courtyard or tap a look, and make the clip. You do not need to find the CapCut template or learn the moves: the dance is written into the prompt.
No. Each clip costs credits, and the exact amount is on the button before you make it; the free credits you get at sign-up do not cover a 12-second clip. You see the price, then decide.
