The description asked for an invented girl trainer with short auburn hair, round glasses and a green hooded windbreaker, plus the exact strings for the name and ID rows. All of it came back rendered — "NAME: MIRA", "ID No.: 04127" — with three of the six badge slots filled and the other three left empty, which is the detail that makes a card read as a save file rather than as decoration.

What is a Pokemon trainer card maker?

A trainer card maker produces the ID panel the games show for your player character: a portrait window, a name, an ID number, a badge row, and the frame around it all. The familiar tools are template builders — you pick from a fixed set of sprites, type into fields, and export what the template allows, which is why so many finished cards look like each other.

How to describe a card that comes back right

The card has three separate jobs — a character, some text, and a layout. State each one and the result stops being a lucky draw.

    Write the exact strings in quotes

    Do not ask for "my name on it". Write the literal line you want to see — NAME: MIRA, ID No.: 04127 — because the model is drawing letterforms, and it can only draw the ones you actually gave it.

    Describe the trainer like a person, not a type

    Hair, glasses, jacket, one prop. Four concrete details produce a character; "a cool trainer" produces whichever face the model has seen most, which is how you end up with someone else's protagonist.

    Say how many badges are earned

    Six slots, and you decide how many are filled — three earned and three empty tells a story, six filled tells a different one. Left unsaid, the row fills at random and the card stops matching your run.

What it can render, where it slips, and what it is not.

No. The card is one drawn image, not a form with fields, so the text is part of the picture. Changing the name means generating again with the new string — which is fast, but it is the real trade against a template builder that keeps the fields editable.

Usually, and not always. Short strings in the name and ID rows render reliably; long names, unusual punctuation and tiny secondary labels are where letterforms distort. Read the card before you keep it, and shorten the string rather than adding prompt words if a run comes back wrong.

The tool will not reproduce specific copyrighted characters faithfully, and this page does not aim to. What it does well is an original trainer in the same visual language — which is also what makes the card yours rather than a screenshot of someone else's.

Not on this page, which draws the whole card from a description. Turning a real face into stylised art is a separate job — start from an upload in the studio and use one of the portrait tools instead.

A landscape card sits naturally at 4:3, which is what both demo runs used. Pick the ratio before generating rather than cropping afterwards, since cropping a drawn card usually cuts into the frame or the badge row.

Free credits come with the account and cover the first runs. After that a card spends credits like any image, the estimate for the model and resolution appears in the generator before you start, and a failed run is never charged.
