How to Do the Hotel Lobby AI Trend: 3 Ways Compared

There are three ways to do the Hotel Lobby AI trend, and the tools split on one thing: some run on Quavo and Takeoff's original COLORS performance — the real take or the real track — and some generate a new one from your photos. That split is why one person on Reddit paid $7 for a Hotel Lobby AI video and got a copyright refusal instead of a clip. Every price below was read from the tool's own page on 27 September 2026.

One-click template (Starrd, Fuzana): two photos, no prompt, the lowest stated prices — Fuzana lists 12 credits for 5 seconds, Starrd 100 credits (about $5) for 15 — but only Starrd keeps the original track underneath.
Motion transfer (trendai.video, Higgsfield Genjutsu): the closest copy of the original moves, but you prepare character sheets or a source clip, and trendai lists 4,055 credits for 15 seconds at 480p.
Generate a new booth from two photos (Kavel, Seedance 2.5): nothing from the original is re-used, there is no source video to find, and the prompt is already written.
The step people fail at for days: telling the model which photo is the left performer and which is the right.

How to do the Hotel Lobby AI trend in 4 steps

  1. Pick two photos, one person each — front-facing, good light, no sunglasses. A pet or a drawn character can take one side.
  2. Decide who stands left. Upload that photo first; every method below uses first-photo-left, second-photo-right.
  3. Choose the method: a template for speed, motion transfer if you want the original choreography, or generate from two photos if you want no source clip and nothing of the original re-used.
  4. Render short first, check both faces landed on the right side, then make the full-length clip and add the song when you post.

What is the Hotel Lobby AI trend?

The Hotel Lobby AI trend puts two people into one famous setup: a bare orange booth, a single microphone hanging between them, two performers trading a verse straight to camera. It comes from the COLORS performance of "Hotel Lobby" by Quavo and Takeoff, recorded as Unc & Phew in 2022. In September 2026 people started replacing the two of them with anyone they could get a photo of, and The Tab (thetab.com) counted thousands of versions within days — the same month the STORM II formation shot took over the same feeds.

The versions people rewatch pair two faces nobody expected together — a bride and groom, a son and his mom, a person and their dog.

3 ways to make a Hotel Lobby AI video, compared

Use a template for speed, motion transfer for the original choreography, or generation from photos to skip the source clip and the original take.

Five Hotel Lobby AI tools compared by what you upload, what they re-use from the original performance, stated price per clip and clip length, checked 27 September 2026

Every row read from the tool's own page on 27 September 2026. "Not stated" means the page does not say.

Method Example tool What you upload Re-uses the original performance Stated price per clip Clip length Checked
One-click template getstarrd.app 2 photos Original track underneath 100 credits (about $5) 15s vertical 27 Sep 2026
One-click template fuzana.com 2 photos Nothing reused; AI-made beat and vocals 12 credits (5s) or 24 (10s); packs from $4.99 5s or 10s vertical 27 Sep 2026
Motion transfer trendai.video 2 character sheets Original choreography, camera and audio 4,055 credits (15s, 480p) 15s or 30s 27 Sep 2026
Motion transfer Higgsfield Genjutsu Source clip + reference images Source clip drives the movement Not stated Length of source clip 27 Sep 2026
Generate from photos Kavel (Seedance 2.5) 2 photos Nothing reused 1,050 credits (10s, 480p) 5s to 30s 27 Sep 2026

Credits are not a shared currency — a Starrd credit, a trendai credit and a Kavel credit buy different amounts — so compare the rows on what you have to prepare and what you get back, not on the raw number.

What each Hotel Lobby AI method needs from you: photos, a source video, a prompt, who stands where and where the time goes

The same three methods by the work they ask of you, summarised from the pages above.

Method Photos Source video to find Prompt to write Who stands where Where the time goes
One-click template 2 Not needed None Photo 1 left, photo 2 right Queue on busy days
Motion transfer 2 sheets or 3–4 images Needed, cut to length Optional, assigns each performer Named in the prompt Prep, then a few minutes a render
Generate from photos 2 Not needed Pre-filled, editable Named in the prompt One render, cost shown first

Way 1: one-click Hotel Lobby AI templates

A template is the fastest Hotel Lobby AI route: Starrd and Fuzana both take two photos and no prompt, and return a vertical clip of 5 to 15 seconds.

Starrd's guide to the Hotel Lobby COLORS AI video, with a site banner saying generations are taking longer than usual because of high traffic

Starrd, 27 September 2026: two photos, 100 credits, and a banner warning that generations are slower than usual.

What the template pages ask for is consistent. Fuzana's upload form spells it out: one person or pet per photo, crop group shots first, full body with feet visible, facing the camera, good light, no sunglasses or masks — and photo 1 is the one who stands on the left and opens the performance.

Why a Hotel Lobby AI app can take your money and then refuse

Templates are not all built the same way. Starrd says its clip keeps "the real track underneath"; Fuzana stages both people in the booth as a still, animates from that frame and adds its own beat. Any tool that runs on the original performance can hit a copyright check, and when a platform's check catches it, the render stops — sometimes after the credits are spent. That is exactly the complaint under a Hotel Lobby tutorial on r/aiagents: "you spend $7 and it says copyright issue cant make it". trendai at least states that credits go back automatically when a render fails or is blocked by moderation; most template pages do not say what happens.

Way 2: motion transfer from the original clip

Motion transfer gives you the closest copy of the original moves: the model takes a source clip for the movement, camera and timing, and your images for who is in it. It is also the method with the most setup.

trendai.video's Hotel Lobby AI generator asking for a character sheet for the left performer and one for the right, priced at 4,055 credits for 15 seconds at 480p

trendai.video, 27 September 2026: two character sheets in, 4,055 credits for the shortest, lowest-resolution clip.

What you have to prepare

  • A source clip. The question under almost every YouTube tutorial is "where do I get the video of Takeoff and Quavo to download?" Motion-transfer tools need the performance itself, cut to length; one creator's Genjutsu walkthrough on videoaihub.substack.com used a clip of about 29 seconds. What Higgsfield charges for that is covered in our Genjutsu price guide, and the same recast-a-clip method runs on our Genjutsu video page.
  • References for each person. trendai wants a character sheet per performer: a front portrait, a front full body and a back full body. The Genjutsu walkthrough used four images — a character sheet, a close-up, a full-body shot and a scene reference of both people in the orange studio.
  • An assignment. Say in the prompt who replaces the left performer and who replaces the right. The r/aiagents poster, working with MiniMax H3 on fal, tagged each image by number and still needed "a few generations to get it exactly right".

trendai's price ladder shows where the credits go: 4,055 for 15 seconds at 480p, 8,683 at 720p, 8,109 for 30 seconds at 480p and 17,366 for 30 seconds at 720p.

Way 3: generate a new Hotel Lobby AI booth from two photos (the prompt, copy-paste)

The third Hotel Lobby AI method skips the original entirely — the same principle as Fuzana's template, but with the prompt in your hands. Two photos go in as references to Seedance 2.5, and the booth, the mic, the moves and the camera are generated from a prompt. There is no clip to find, nothing of the original performance goes into the render, and the result is a performance neither of you ever gave.

Kavel's Hotel Lobby AI video page with the Seedance 2.5 generator on image-to-video, a reference-image upload and the prompt already filled in

Our own Hotel Lobby AI video page, 27 September 2026: Seedance 2.5, the prompt pre-filled, the credit cost on screen before you run it.

Upload both photos, left performer first, then paste this into the prompt box (it is the prompt on that page, word for word):

Two reference photos, one person each. The person in the FIRST photo stands on the LEFT; the person in the SECOND photo stands on the RIGHT. Keep each face, hairstyle and outfit exactly as photographed and never swap them. They stand side by side in a small, bare studio booth with a seamless bright orange wall and floor, a single silver condenser microphone hanging from above between their heads. Both open with a finger raised to their lips, then perform a confident rap verse straight to camera, trading lines back and forth with loose hand gestures and small head nods, completely in sync with each other and fully committed to the performance. Locked-off camera, eye-level, framed from the knees up, soft even studio light, one continuous take. No other people, no text, no logos, no cuts. A punchy hip-hop beat with both voices rapping in the audio.

What each part of the prompt is doing

  • The first two sentences fix the order. Upload the left performer first; the prompt says so, and says never to swap them.
  • The booth sentence rebuilds the look without borrowing it: seamless orange, one hanging mic, nothing else.
  • The finger-to-lips opener is the beat people recognise the trend by.
  • "Locked-off camera … one continuous take" stops the drifting push-in that makes a booth clip feel like a different video.
  • The negative line — no other people, no text, no logos — keeps extra faces and stray lettering out of the frame.

Preparing the two photos

Fuzana's form and media.io's template page state the same rules: one subject per photo, facing the camera, in even light, with the face clearly visible. A dog, a cat or a drawn character works as one side of the booth; if the animal should do more than bob along, the pet video generator is built for that, and a character that only exists as a drawing can be brought to life first with animate illustrations. For TikTok and Reels, export vertical 9:16; the booth reads fine cropped tall.

Why is my Hotel Lobby AI video still processing?

If your Hotel Lobby AI video is stuck processing, the queue is usually full. The comments under YouTube tutorials say so: "still processing … it's been 2 hours", "loading for an hour", "I already have an entire day and still keep processing". Starrd was showing a high-traffic banner the day we checked. A trend this size fills free queues first.

Test short and small first. Run the shortest length at the lowest resolution to check the casting, as trendai itself advises.
Don't wait all day. If a free queue has not moved in an hour, check whether the job is still queued or has failed before you re-run, so you are not charged twice.
Pay once, for the real one. When the casting is right, use a tool that shows the cost up front and starts the render straight away.

Why do the faces land on the wrong person in my Hotel Lobby AI clip?

Swapped or drifting faces happen when the uploads and the prompt do not clearly assign the left and right performers — the problem behind the "I've been trying to do this for days with no luck" reply on r/aiagents.

Fuzana's Hotel Lobby AI upload form: photo 1 stands on the left and opens the performance, photo 2 on the right, with rules for one person per photo, full body, facing the camera and no sunglasses

Fuzana's upload rules for its Hotel Lobby AI template, 27 September 2026.

Put one person in each photo, upload them in left-to-right order, and keep the sentence that assigns the first photo to the left and the second to the right. Sunglasses, heavy shadow and group shots are the next most common reasons a face stops looking like the person in it.

Can I put the song on my Hotel Lobby AI video?

Starrd's template and trendai's motion transfer keep the original audio, because they are built on the original performance. A clip generated from photos comes back with generated sound — a beat and two voices, not the song.

Fuzana's note on where the music comes from: an AI-made beat and vocals, never the recording, and the official Hotel Lobby sound added inside TikTok, Instagram Reels or CapCut

Fuzana, 27 September 2026, on adding the official sound where it is licensed for creators.

Add "Hotel Lobby" inside TikTok, Instagram Reels or CapCut — where, Fuzana notes, the sound is licensed for creators — turn the clip's own audio down, and line the finger-to-lips moment up with the drop.

Is it okay to make one?

Some people are uneasy about the trend, and the thread on r/BlackPeopleofReddit says why: Takeoff died in 2022, and many of the viral versions put celebrities and politicians in the booth. Both objections are about whose face is in the clip. A clip of you and someone who agreed to it, generated fresh, is neither a celebrity deepfake nor a rework of the original take. Fuzana's upload form asks for the same thing: only photos of adults who agreed to appear.

Hotel Lobby AI FAQ

How do I do the Hotel Lobby AI on PC?

Fuzana, trendai.video and Kavel all run in a desktop browser — we opened each at desktop width on 27 September 2026. Upload from your computer what that method asks for (two photos for a template or for generation; character sheets or a source clip for motion transfer) and download the clip when it finishes.

Is Hotel Lobby AI free?

Partly. Every tool here that states a price charges for the video itself; what is free differs.

Tool What is free What the clip costs (stated) Checked
fuzana.com Booth-photo preview, no account 12 credits (5s), packs from $4.99 27 Sep 2026
getstarrd.app Not stated 100 credits, about $5 27 Sep 2026
trendai.video Not stated From 4,055 credits 27 Sep 2026
Kavel Sign-up credits 1,050 credits (10s, 480p), shown before you run 27 Sep 2026

What's the prompt for the Hotel Lobby AI video?

Templates need no prompt. Motion transfer needs a short one that assigns each performer. For a clip generated from two photos, the full prompt is in Way 3 above and pre-filled on our Hotel Lobby AI video page.

Can someone make a Hotel Lobby AI video for me?

It is the most common reply under the r/aiagents tutorial, and you do not need anyone: with the four steps at the top, two photos and the pre-filled prompt on our Hotel Lobby AI video page are the whole job. Handing a stranger your photos also hands them your face, so if you do ask someone, ask someone you trust.

How long does a Hotel Lobby AI video take?

trendai says a render usually takes a few minutes. Free queues can take hours on a busy day — that is what the YouTube comments quoted above describe.

The short version

Of the five Hotel Lobby AI tools we read on 27 September 2026, four state a price per clip, and the spread runs from Fuzana's 12 credits for five seconds to 17,366 credits for trendai's 30-second 720p render. The biggest difference is not the price: it is whether the tool needs the original performance. If you want your pair in the booth without hunting for a source clip or risking a copyright stop, generate it from two photos — the prompt is already there.
