The Multiaverso AI filter is not one filter. It is the hashtag TikTok and CapCut users in Latin America and Brazil put on a whole family of "what if" AI photo effects — your glow up, your blonde version, you in the 1970s, you at 11, you as a cartoon, you at eighty — and in the last year the tag has changed what it means: in August 2025 it was a filter that guessed your future child's face.

What it is: a TikTok / CapCut tag for AI effects that show "another universe" version of you. Also spelled Multiverso.
What people post now: glow up, blonde version, 1970s, the 11-year-old you, a 3D cartoon, and the eighty-year-old you — usually as a before-and-after carousel.
Without CapCut: upload one clear photo to an image-to-image generator and use a prompt that keeps your face.
Hardest version: the kid one. Ask for age 11 and the model may hand you back an adult in pigtails.
Try it: the Multiaverso AI filter on Kavel has all six versions ready as prompts.

What is the Multiaverso AI filter?
"Multiaverso" is how the tag is written on TikTok; "Multiverso" is how many people type it into Google, and both spellings point to the same set of effects.
There is no single official Multiaverso filter. On CapCut, the tag sits on dozens of templates. When we read CapCut's own Multiverso glow-up page on 2 October 2026, the biggest templates listed were:
| CapCut template (as named on the page) | Uses shown |
|---|---|
| What I would look as | 10.1M |
| GLOWUP | 4.2M |
| LADIES AND GENTLEMEN | 2.2M |
| GLOW UP TREND | 1.2M |
| Aging Filter | 459.2K |
| Growing Up AI | 339.2K |
| 4 Cartoon Filter AI | 281.1K |
"What I would look as" is the biggest single template; the two glow-up templates together add another 5.4 million uses.

How the Multiaverso AI filter changed: from your future kid to your other lives
The Multiaverso AI filter did not start as a glow-up trend. In SocialChain's trend round-up for the week of 4 August 2025, #Multiaverso was described as a TikTok filter that predicted what your future child might look like, with people posting duets and reactions to their "hypothetical children".
| When | What #Multiaverso meant | Where we read it |
|---|---|---|
| August 2025 | A filter that guesses your future child's face | SocialChain trend round-up, week of 4 August 2025 |
| September–October 2026 | Glow up, blonde version, decade looks, kid and aging versions, cartoon | CapCut's Multiverso glow-up page; #Multiaverso posts on TikTok |
The current wave is still moving. On 2 October 2026 our trend tracker counted 29 #Multiaverso posts from 27 different creators across TikTok and YouTube, 21 of them posted in the previous 72 hours. The captions are in Portuguese and Spanish ("coloque sua foto e veja você com 11 anos" — put in your photo and see yourself at 11), with #VersãoLoira (blonde version) as one of the tags riding along.
If you are looking for the original future-child version, that is a different job: two parent photos in, one baby out. Kavel's AI baby generator does that one.

| Version | What changes | What has to stay the same | Where to make it on Kavel |
|---|---|---|---|
| Glow up | Hair styled, soft glam makeup, better clothes and studio light | Face, skin tone, eyebrows | Multiaverso AI filter |
| Blonde version | Hair colour and setting | Face, skin tone, expression | Multiaverso AI filter, or the AI hairstyle changer for other colours |
| 1970s | Hair, clothes, film colour and grain | Face and features | Multiaverso AI filter; later decades in the 80s AI photo generator and 90s yearbook photos |
| The 11-year-old you | Age, body size, clothes | Eye shape, eyebrows, nose, smile | Multiaverso AI filter |
| 3D cartoon | Proportions and rendering | Hairstyle, eyebrows, outfit colours, the laugh | Multiaverso AI filter |
| Eighty years old | Wrinkles, white hair, posture | Eyes, eyebrows (now grey), smile | Multiaverso AI filter, or the AI aging filter for a chosen age |
How people post the Multiaverso versions
The usual format is a carousel: the plain photo first, then three or four versions, so viewers can play "which one is real". If you want a whole other life rather than another look — the supercar, the penthouse — that is the AI larp generator's territory.
How to make a Multiaverso AI filter without CapCut
If you want the exact effect a friend used, open CapCut, search "Multiaverso" in Templates, pick one and add your photo. Without CapCut, an image-to-image generator that edits from your photo and keeps faces can make the same versions; the Multiaverso AI filter page on Kavel has all six loaded as templates.
- Pick a clear photo. Face visible, decent light, head and shoulders. The background gets replaced, so a messy kitchen is fine.
- Tap a version above the prompt box — Glow up, Blonde, 1970s, Kid, Cartoon or Older — then edit the hair colour, the decade or the age in the prompt if you want a different universe: red hair, the 1980s, a mermaid.
- Keep the face line in the prompt. Every Multiaverso AI filter prompt we use ends with the same instruction:
Keep the exact same face, facial features, skin tone and identity as the photo, so it is unmistakably the same person.
- Generate, then post the set. Download each version and post them as a carousel with the original first.

What we learned making six Multiaverso AI filter versions
Why the kid version is the hardest Multiaverso AI filter
We made the six versions twice: on 2 October for the Multiaverso AI filter page (split across two invented people, a shopkeeper and a woman on a balcony) and on 3 October for this article (all six from the woman in the cafe above). All images here were made with GPT Image 2, editing from the original photo.

Left: the original. Middle: first try at "her as an 11-year-old". Right: second try, with the child's body and face spelled out. Younger — but not 11.
| What we asked for | What came back | What we changed |
|---|---|---|
| "As an 11-year-old girl", same face | An adult woman with pigtails and a popsicle | Spelled out a child's body and proportions, a smaller rounder face, no makeup — younger, but still closer to early teens |
| A 3D cartoon version of the shopkeeper | Almost a photograph — real skin, real lighting | Added "clearly CGI animation, not a photograph", oversized head and big glossy eyes; the second run was a cartoon |
| A 3D cartoon version of the woman in the cafe | Cartoon face and eyes, but a near-real background | Accepted it as a semi-stylised version; for a full cartoon, describe the background as animated too |
| Blonde, glow up, 1970s and eighty | Right on the first run, same face kept | Nothing — the "same face" line did the work |
| Not wanting to write any of these prompts | — | Kavel's Multiaverso AI filter page loads all six as templates, including the fixed cartoon and kid prompts |
Two habits for every Multiaverso prompt
- Say what must not change, and say what must change, in plain words. "Same face" keeps likeness; "a child's body, a smaller rounder face" is what moved the age. In our test, the number 11 on its own gave us an adult.
- Check the kid and cartoon versions before you post. Those two are where the result drifts; the colour, decade and glow-up versions held on every run we did.

The cartoon check: the face went fully animated, the cafe behind her barely changed. Illustration images, 3 October 2026.
Multiaverso AI filter FAQ
What is the new Multiaverso AI filter everyone is posting?
If the caption says Multiaverso or Multiverso, it is one of the "another version of you" AI effects that make up the Multiaverso AI filter trend: most often the glow up, the blonde version, a decade look, or the kid and aging versions. Each starts from one selfie and aims to keep the face.
How do I add the Multiaverso AI filter to my photo?
Upload a clear photo of your face to an image-to-image generator, pick a version or write one, and keep the "same face" line in the prompt. On the Multiaverso AI filter page the six versions are ready to tap.
Is there a Multiverso AI app?
You do not need a separate app. The original templates live inside CapCut; in a browser, the Multiaverso AI filter on Kavel runs the six versions from one photo on phone or desktop — upload, tap a version, download, nothing to install.
Is Multiaverso the same as the Multiverso AI glow up filter?
Yes. Multiaverso is the hashtag spelling and Multiverso is how many people search it. The glow up is one version inside the trend: its biggest CapCut template, GLOWUP, showed 4.2 million uses when we checked, second only to "What I would look as" at 10.1 million.
Where to make your Multiaverso AI filter set
Start from one clear photo, keep the face line in every prompt, check the kid and cartoon versions, and post the carousel with the original first. The Multiaverso AI filter on Kavel has the glow up, blonde, 1970s, kid, cartoon and eighty versions ready. For more ways to see yourself somewhere else, try the AI aging filter, the 80s AI photo generator or, for the early-2000s flash look, the Y2K flash photo filter.
