Common questions about changing clothes on a photo with Kavel.
The model separates the person from what they are wearing, then redraws the garment while keeping the pose, the body, the face, and the background where they were. Fabric, folds, and shadow are rebuilt so the new piece sits on you rather than looking pasted on.
New accounts get free credits, so the first edits cost nothing. Beyond that the price depends on the resolution and how many images you ask for, and the estimate updates on screen before you press generate. A failed run is refunded automatically (unless it broke the content policy).
Much better. The model can only dress what it can see, so a shot from the knees or the waist up gives it room to build a whole look. A tight headshot limits it to a collar and a neckline.
Describe it rather than naming it: a double-breasted navy wool coat with gold buttons will land far closer than a brand name. Colour, cut, fabric, and fit are the levers that actually steer the result.
It should not. The brief is to change the clothing only, so say so — keep the same body, pose, and face. If a result drifts, add that line to the prompt and run it again; a failed or unwanted run costs you nothing to redo.
You can, and it is a common use — a plain product photo restyled onto a person for a listing or an ad. Just make sure the garment you show is genuinely the one you sell, and that you own the photo you uploaded.
