DeepSwap Review 2026: The Best Credit Table, The Smallest Allowance

Jul 29, 2026

DeepSwap publishes the most complete per-feature credit table of any vendor we have reviewed this month. Every feature, every resolution, priced to the tenth of a credit. It is genuinely better disclosure than Higgsfield, OpenArt or MagicLight manage.

Then you read how many credits the plan actually includes: twenty. At DeepSwap's own published rates, twenty credits buys forty seconds of 1080p DeepEcho video per month.

Both of those things are true at once, and that is what this DeepSwap review is about. Everything below was read from deepswap.ai on July 29, 2026.

TL;DR: DeepSwap review verdict

Overall: 3.0 / 5 — excellent price transparency wrapped around a subscription that is an access pass rather than a usage allowance, in a product category that carries obligations most reviews decline to mention.

Axis Rating Why
Price transparency 5 / 5 Full per-feature, per-resolution credit table published on the pricing page
Included allowance 1.5 / 5 20 credits — about 40 seconds of 1080p video, or 5 minutes of video face swap
Feature range 3.5 / 5 Face swap across video/photo/GIF/VR, four video-generation models, basic image tools
Pricing honesty 2.5 / 5 Permanent "50% off first order" plus a live countdown timer
Suitability Depends entirely on whose face you are using. See below.
  • What you actually buy: $9.99 for one month or $49.99 for twelve (list $19.99 / $99.99, "50% Off First Order", one-time and no auto-renewal). Each includes 20 credits — 240 total on the annual plan.
  • The number that reframes the plan: at 2.5 credits per 5 seconds, DeepEcho 1080p costs 10 credits per 20 seconds. The monthly allowance runs out in under a minute of video.
  • The subscription is access, not volume. Real usage means buying credit packages, whose prices are not on the pricing page — members get an unspecified "Credit Package Discount."
  • Genuinely good: flat credit pricing that does not vary by model. In DeepSwap's own words, "credit charges are the same for all models and HD Face options."
  • Before you use it: DeepSwap's own terms forbid content that is "invasive of personal privacy or publicity rights" or that contains "private or personal information of a third party without such third party's consent." That is the vendor telling you consent is your responsibility.

What DeepSwap's included 20 credits actually produce, converted at DeepSwap's own published rates: about 14 seconds of Reference to Video 1080p, 40 seconds of DeepEcho 1080p, 100 seconds of DeepVid 2.0, five minutes of video face swap, or 200 photo face swaps, read July 29 2026

What is DeepSwap?

DeepSwap is a face-swap platform. Its core products are video face swap, photo face swap, GIF face swap and VR face swap, plus a video generator and a small set of image utilities — enhance, background erase, cartoonize. It runs in eight languages and offers an API and an affiliate programme.

The video generator is more substantial than the "face swap tool" label suggests. Four named engines appear on the pricing page: DeepVid 2.0, DeepEcho, DeepEcho Lite, and Reference to Video.

Access is at deepswap.ai. There is no free tier listed on the pricing page.

Face-swap tools sit in a category where the tool is neutral and the use is not. We are not going to pretend otherwise, or bury it in a footnote.

DeepSwap's own Terms of Service prohibit uploading or transmitting content that is "unlawful, harmful, libelous, defamatory, obscene, abusive... pornographic, indecent, lewd, harassing, threatening, invasive of personal privacy or publicity rights," and separately content that "contains any private or personal information of a third party without such third party's consent."

Read plainly: putting someone else's face into a video without their permission is against the terms of the product you are using to do it, on top of whatever your local law says about it. Several jurisdictions now legislate specifically on synthetic likenesses.

This review assesses DeepSwap as a tool for footage of yourself, of consenting participants, or of licensed material. If that is not your use case, the rest of this page will not help you.

DeepSwap pricing: the transparency and the catch

The plans

Plan List Price Credits Renewal
1-Month Access $19.99 $9.99 (50% off first order) 20 One-time, no auto-renewal
12-Month Access $99.99 $49.99 (50% off first order) 20/month, 240 total One-time, no auto-renewal

Both plans unlock the same benefits: credit package discount, video generation, priority processing, HD face swap, face swap on videos up to 30 minutes, and multitasking.

No auto-renewal is a genuine courtesy and worth saying so — this category is full of products that quietly rebill. The countdown timer running on the pricing page, next to a discount labelled "first order," is less charming. When urgency is permanent it is decoration.

The credit table — the best thing on the page

DeepSwap publishes what its competitors do not:

Feature Credit charge
Face swap — video 1 credit / 15s
Face swap — photo 0.1 credit
Face swap — GIF 1 credit
VR face swap 2 credits / 15s, and 6 credits / 15s
DeepVid 2.0 1 credit / 5s (no audio) · +0.2 / 5s with audio
DeepEcho (audio included) 720p: 2 credits / 5s · 1080p: 2.5 / 5s · re-add audio +0.2 / 5s
DeepEcho Lite (audio included) 720p: 1.5 credits / 5s · 1080p: 2 / 5s · re-add audio +0.2 / 5s
Reference to Video 720p: 2.5 credits / 5s (+2.5 with a video reference) · 1080p: 3.5 / 5s (+3.5 with a video reference)
AI Character 0.2 credit per photo
AI tools 0.1 credit per photo

And the line that makes it trustworthy: "Credit charges are the same for all models and HD Face options."

That is the disclosure Higgsfield, OpenArt and MagicLight all decline to make. OpenArt advertises 100+ models and publishes no per-model cost. MagicLight publishes one. DeepSwap publishes all of it, and commits to it not varying by model. Credit where it is due.

Now do the arithmetic

Twenty credits, at DeepSwap's own published rates:

What you make 20 credits buys
DeepEcho 1080p video 40 seconds
DeepEcho 720p video 50 seconds
DeepEcho Lite 1080p 50 seconds
DeepVid 2.0, no audio 100 seconds
Reference to Video 1080p (with reference) ~14 seconds
Video face swap 5 minutes
Photo face swap 200 photos
AI tools 200 photos

The plan is priced as a subscription and sized as a sample. On the monthly plan that is $9.99 for forty seconds of the flagship video model. On the annual plan, 240 credits across a year is eight minutes of DeepEcho 1080p.

Photo face swap is the exception and it is genuinely cheap: 200 photos for $9.99, or 2,400 across the annual plan. If stills are your use case, the maths works.

For anything else, the subscription is an entry fee and the real cost is in credit packages — whose prices DeepSwap does not put on its pricing page. The plan benefits list "Credit Package Discount" without quantifying either the package price or the discount. That is the one place where this otherwise transparent page goes quiet, and it is the place that determines what the product actually costs you.

Hands-on: our method

What we did: rendered deepswap.ai/pricing and its Terms of Service in a browser engine on July 29, 2026, transcribed the full credit table and both plans, and converted the included allowance into seconds of output at DeepSwap's own published rates.

What we did not do: buy a plan or swap any faces. We make no claim about output quality, artefacts, or how well the models handle difficult angles. Given the category, we were also not going to generate test material featuring anyone's likeness.

So: this is a rigorous read of the commercial terms, not a quality assessment.

DeepSwap pros and cons

What's genuinely good

  • The most transparent credit table in this category. Every feature, every resolution, and an explicit commitment that charges do not vary by model.
  • No auto-renewal. Both plans are one-time purchases. This should be normal and isn't.
  • Photo face swap is cheap. 0.1 credit each means 200 photos on the entry plan.
  • A real video-generation stack, not just swapping — four named engines with audio options.
  • 30-minute face swap ceiling is generous for the price.
  • API and eight languages — more infrastructure than the category norm.

What's not

  • 20 credits is a sample, not an allowance. Under a minute of flagship video per month.
  • Credit package prices are not published. The benefit list promises a discount on a price it never states, and that price is what the product really costs.
  • Permanent urgency. A live countdown timer plus a standing "50% off first order" on both plans.
  • No free tier listed on the pricing page.
  • VR face swap has two rates (2 and 6 credits per 15s) with no stated explanation of which applies when.
  • The category obligation is on you. DeepSwap's terms push consent onto the user, correctly, but that means the responsibility is yours and it is real.

DeepSwap alternatives: what we do and what we deliberately don't

We build Kavel, and here the honest comparison requires a boundary rather than a table.

We do not do face swap. Kavel has no feature that takes one person's face and puts it onto another person's body or video, and we have not built one on purpose. So if identity substitution is what you need, we are not an alternative to DeepSwap and this section is not going to pretend we are.

What we do build is the adjacent thing: transformations of your own photo. Same underlying appeal — see yourself differently — without involving anyone else's likeness.

DeepSwap Kavel
Core function Face swap: your face onto other footage Transform the photo you uploaded
Whose likeness Requires a second person's Only yours
Published per-feature costs Yes, complete Yes, per model and resolution
Cost shown before you generate Not advertised Yes, every run
Charged for failed jobs Not stated No
Included credits on entry plan 20 3,150/month on Starter
Free evaluation None listed Free credits, no card; images with no signup

If what you actually want is to see yourself with a different look, these run on your own upload and need nobody else's face: the AI gender swap, AI aging filter, AI bald filter, AI long hair filter, AI clothes swap and AI pose changer. Each shows the credit cost before it runs, and free images need no signup at all.

Where DeepSwap genuinely wins: it does the thing it does, at a published price, with no auto-renewal, and it tells you exactly what every operation costs. On disclosure alone it beats every other vendor in this series. For consenting-participant work — your own footage, licensed material, a production where everyone has signed — the photo face-swap pricing in particular is hard to argue with.

For how we read other vendors' pricing pages the same way, see our Higgsfield AI review, OpenArt review, MagicLight AI review and VidMuse review.

Verdict: should you use DeepSwap?

Use DeepSwap if your work is photo face swap on footage you have the right to use. 200 photos for $9.99 with published, model-independent pricing is a fair deal, and the no-auto-renewal policy means you can buy one month and stop.

Take the 12-month plan if you are continuing: $49.99 for 240 credits is $0.208 per credit against $0.50 on the monthly plan — less than half. Same benefits either way.

Do not buy this expecting video volume. Twenty credits is forty seconds of DeepEcho 1080p. Find out what credit packages cost before you commit, because that — not the $9.99 — is your actual budget.

Do not use it on anyone who has not agreed to it. DeepSwap's own terms prohibit it, and the law increasingly does too.

The 3.0 is a product that is unusually honest about its prices and unusually quiet about the one price that matters most.

FAQ: DeepSwap review

How much does DeepSwap cost?

$9.99 for 1-Month Access and $49.99 for 12-Month Access, both marked "50% Off First Order" against list prices of $19.99 and $99.99. Both are one-time purchases with no auto-renewal. Each includes 20 credits — 240 total across the annual plan.

Is DeepSwap free?

No free tier appears on its pricing page. Access requires a plan.

How many credits does a DeepSwap video cost?

It depends on the engine and resolution, and DeepSwap publishes all of it: DeepVid 2.0 is 1 credit per 5 seconds without audio; DeepEcho is 2 credits per 5 seconds at 720p and 2.5 at 1080p; DeepEcho Lite is 1.5 and 2; Reference to Video is 2.5 and 3.5, doubling if you supply a video reference. Video face swap is 1 credit per 15 seconds, and photo face swap is 0.1 credit.

Is DeepSwap good value?

For photos, yes — 200 face swaps for $9.99 with pricing that does not vary by model. For video, the included 20 credits buy about 40 seconds of 1080p DeepEcho, so your real cost depends on credit package prices that are not published on the pricing page.

Does DeepSwap auto-renew?

No. Its pricing page states both plans are "One-time, No Auto-renewal."

Is it legal to use DeepSwap?

The tool is legal; specific uses may not be. DeepSwap's own Terms of Service prohibit content that is "invasive of personal privacy or publicity rights" and content containing a third party's private or personal information "without such third party's consent." Using someone's face without their permission breaches those terms, and a growing number of jurisdictions legislate on synthetic likenesses. Get consent.

What are the best DeepSwap alternatives?

If you need identity substitution, we are not one — Kavel has no face-swap feature by design. If what you want is to see yourself transformed, our AI gender swap, aging filter and clothes swap work on your own upload, show the credit cost before each run, and need nobody else's likeness.
