Thanksgiving: "a cream knit romper, sitting on a plaid blanket with mini pumpkins, gourds, a small pie and autumn leaves" plus the keep sentence. The two bottom teeth and the tuft of hair carried over.
Apple orchard: denim overalls and a mustard sweater in a crate of apples. The curls and the smile held; the pink bow did not, because the prompt never asked for it. Name an accessory if you want to keep it.

Both AI baby pictures kept the baby recognisable. The difference was the camera: Lite pulled back so the face got smaller. If you want the face to fill the picture, add "close portrait, head and shoulders" to the first half of the prompt.
Why the AI didn't keep your baby's face
"Why is mine not bringing my face" is one of the questions left under YouTube videos about AI baby photos, next to "how can we find the prompt". Models differ and every run differs, but three checks on your side fix the most common misses:
- The model cannot see the face. An AI baby photo can only keep what the original shows. A hand over the cheek, a dummy, a blanket, a head turned away or a blurry shot: what the model cannot see it has to invent. Use a sharp photo with the face toward the camera.
- The prompt has no age or size. Without "the same age and size", babies can come back looking a year older, especially in cake smash and outdoor scenes. The keep sentence covers it.
- The prompt has no "one baby" line. "A baby photoshoot in a pumpkin patch" lets the model compose its own scene, sometimes with a second child. "Only one baby, nobody added" makes that much less likely; if a second baby still appears, run it again before rewriting.
