Kling 4.0 and Seedance 2.5 Pricing: Where to Run Each (2026)

Kling 4.0 vs Seedance 2.5 pricing comes down to one gap: a 5-second 720p Kling 4.0 clip lists at $0.785 on pay-per-second APIs, while Seedance 2.5 costs $1.156 for the same clip on ByteDance's own API. The catch is that Kling's own API for the model is not open yet, so every site selling Kling 4.0 by the second today is a reseller.

  • Cheapest Kling 4.0: the Kling app on a Pro plan, about $0.54 for 5 seconds at 720p (10 credits a second, $32.56 a month for 3,000 credits).
  • Cheapest Seedance 2.5: BytePlus ModelArk, ByteDance's API, at $1.156 for 5 seconds at 720p and $2.843 at 1080p. You need to write code.
  • At 1080p Kling 4.0 is the cheaper model everywhere we checked: $0.235 a second on Replicate and WaveSpeed against $0.569 for Seedance on BytePlus.
  • No code and no subscription: Kavel runs both from one credit balance, bought once: no API key, no code, no monthly plan.

Prices read from each provider's own page on October 27, 2026, unless a row says otherwise.

Kling 4.0 and Seedance 2.5 pricing at a glance

Same clip, every place we could check. Kling's model has no 480p tier, so the comparison starts at 720p. "Not offered" means that place does not run the model.

Kling 4.0 and Seedance 2.5 pricing table: cost of a 5-second 720p and a 10-second 1080p clip in the Kling app, Kling API preview, BytePlus ModelArk, Replicate, WaveSpeed, fal and Kavel

How the numbers were worked out: Kling app costs are credits times the Pro plan's renewal price ($32.56 ÷ 3,000 credits). The Kling API row uses Kling's own preview rate of 1 unit a second at 720p and 1.5 at 1080p, at $0.14 a unit. Kavel's row is the credit quote its generator shows before you press Generate. fal's 5-second figure is fal's own worked example.

Where can you use Kling 4.0 online?

Kling's own app, pay-per-second resellers and Kavel run it today. Kling's own API is not yet open for requests.

Kling 4.0 credit cost in the Kling app

Kling does not print a per-second rate for its new model on the plans page. The creator quotes it before you click: 10 credits a second at 720p and 15 at 1080p, so a 30-second 1080p clip is 450 credits. Kling hides the creator behind a sign-in, so these rates are as reported by quantslant.com and toolsiftly.com, which both read them there in October. For how the new model differs from the last one, see Kling 4.0 vs Kling 3.0.

Pro is the plan where the 10% launch discount starts. At 3,000 credits it buys 300 seconds of 720p, or 200 seconds of 1080p, before the discount.

Can you buy Kling 4.0 from Kling's own API?

No, not yet. Kling's API pricing page (kling.ai/dev/pricing) lists the model as "Coming Soon" and says the prices "are for preview purposes only and cannot be used to submit requests before launch." Its prepaid unit packages, from $700 for 5,000 units, carry a notice that they are not compatible with Kling 4.0 or Kling 4.0 Flash. Early access goes through a business inquiry.

Kling 4.0 on Replicate, WaveSpeed and fal

Replicate (replicate.com) and WaveSpeed (wavespeed.ai) both list it at $0.157 a second at 720p and $0.235 at 1080p, for clips of 3 to 30 seconds. With a video input the rate drops to $0.094 and $0.141, but the input seconds are billed too. fal has a model page for it, and no price showed on that public page when we checked. Older Kling versions run cheaper: compare Kling 3.0 and the per-second cost of every major video model.

Where can you use Seedance 2.5 online?

It is easier to buy than Kling's model: ByteDance sells it directly through BytePlus, and it runs in ByteDance's own Dreamina app plus several resellers.

BytePlus ModelArk: ByteDance's official API

BytePlus bills it by tokens: $10.70 per million at 480p and 720p, $11.70 per million at 1080p, without a video input. Seedance 2.0 is still listed beside it at $7.00 per million, so the upgrade costs about half as much again per token. BytePlus's own billing examples for a 5-second 16:9 clip:

On BytePlus 5-second clip Per second
480p $0.514 $0.103
720p $1.156 $0.231
1080p $2.843 $0.569
4K not supported not supported

On ByteDance's own price list, Seedance 2.5 tops out at 1080p: there is no 2K or 4K tier.

Dreamina and Higgsfield: Seedance 2.5 on a subscription

If you would rather pay a monthly plan than an API bill, Higgsfield priced one 8-second 1080p clip across apps on October 20: $6.93 on Dreamina's $15 Basic plan and $6.27 on Higgsfield's $49 Plus plan (higgsfield.ai, Seedance pricing breakdown). The same comparison puts OpenArt's $14 Starter plan at $8.98 for that clip. Higgsfield draws 56 credits for the same clip at 720p and 24 at 480p.

Seedance 2.5 on Replicate, fal and WaveSpeed

Replicate matches BytePlus at $0.2312 a second for 720p and lists $0.1028 for 480p. fal charges about $0.473 a second at 720p and $1.164 at 1080p. WaveSpeed lists $0.18, $0.36 and $0.90 a second for 480p, 720p and 1080p. The same 5-second 720p clip runs $1.156 on BytePlus and about $2.31 on fal, so the host matters as much as the model. How Kling 4.0 and Seedance 2.5 bill you

BytePlus ModelArk billing rules for Seedance: only successfully generated videos are charged, and token consumption is input plus output seconds times width, height and frame rate divided by 1024

  • Kling's model bills per second of output. A video input changes the rate and counts the input as well: Kling's preview rules bill twice the output length when the input is shorter, or input plus output when it is longer.
  • Seedance bills tokens, which grow with resolution, clip length and frame rate. Seconds of any input video count on top of the output.
  • Failed runs: BytePlus charges only for videos that finish; a run blocked by content moderation is free. On Kavel a failed run is refunded automatically. Retries you choose to make are still billed.
  • First-month prices: Kling's first month is 30% off the list price on Standard and Pro and 35% off on Premier and Ultra+. From month two you pay the renewal price in the plan table.

FAQ

Is Kling 4.0 free?
Not as a listed perk. Kling's plans page shows the new model only as a 10% discount on Pro and higher. Daily free credits, watermark removal and commercial use appear there as benefits of the paid plans.

Is there a Kling 4.0 API yet?
Not from Kling itself: its API page shows the model as "Coming Soon" with preview prices. Replicate and WaveSpeed already sell calls at $0.157 a second for 720p.

How much does the Seedance 2.5 API cost?
On BytePlus, ByteDance's own API, $10.70 per million tokens at 480p and 720p and $11.70 at 1080p. In clip terms that is $1.156 for 5 seconds at 720p and $2.843 at 1080p. Replicate charges the same $0.2312 a second at 720p.

How much does Seedance 2.5 cost on Higgsfield?
Higgsfield's own October 20 comparison puts an 8-second 1080p clip at 128 credits, or $6.27 on the $49 Plus plan with 1,000 credits. The same clip draws 56 credits at 720p and 24 at 480p.

Do failed generations cost credits?
On BytePlus, no: only finished videos are billed. On Kavel a failed run is refunded automatically.

Can Seedance 2.5 make 4K?
Not on ByteDance's own price list, which marks 4K as not supported for this model. Its top tier there is 1080p.

Can I use the clips commercially?
Kling lists commercial use as a feature of its paid plans. On any reseller or app, the host's own terms decide what you may do with the output, so read that host's terms before a paid job.
